Venturing the path as a fashion marketing student, i have dedicated this page to display my works in relation to the brief : Create a Spring Brand Campaign
Learning the basics of photography at University enabled me to persue this task, researching various brands and their spring collections drew my attention to levis. Levis Strauss is a prominent brand within the fashion industry dating back to as early as the 1860s. The brand is known for specialising in its use of denim creating rudimentary designs.
First Photoshoot for brief
Researching the various features associated with spring, i decided to book one model to capture a variety of photos focusing on the array of pastel colours linked to spring. The setting is as important as whatever you capture, i decided to make use of a local Italian restaurant due to their vibrant aesthetics. THe restaurant consists of many pastel colours along with a collection of vegetation that matches spring "The season of rebirth".

Researching the various characteristics of spring, I plan to use this data to produce an array of photos portraying the season. My plan is to book two models to capture a variety of photos wearing a collage of pastel colours. The setting for my photo shoot is an Italian restaurant called 'Pala' I have requested permission to use their premises due to the vibrant aesthetic; their workplace is comprised of a variety of pastel colours that would be perfect for my brief. The restaurant has a group of large windows displaying its insides, I would like to make use of these windows capturing photos of my selected models. Another idea in mind is capturing photos upstairs using their yellow walls and classic Italian décor to portray spring. My plan is to borrow the camera equipment and investigate to see how good the quality will be without any light equipment, checking if its possible to persue this idea however if not I will have to incorporate professional lighting into the shoot.
OUtfit ideas
During my research for the brief, it was crucial for my models to match the aesthetics and styles representing the season spring. These outfits have been comprised of light colours including red, blue and yellow which can be seen within my research. I chose to make use of a skirt (figure )as the garment is common amongst the season. I also incorporated a white cardigan to create a distinction between spring and summer as the initial outfit projected a summer style.
INspiration
I took a lot of inspiration from my favorite photographers. Mainly taking inspiration from the likes of James A SMith , ROBERT capa and Finlay Flint due to Their techniques in capturing photos. THE use of analogue photography encouraged me to experiment. This is due to the results analogue produces creating a grainier look alongside sharpening the photos.

These photos were captured at a local coffee shop "Yellow Bourbon", with the aesthetics matching the brief I captured a selection of photos here. To capture these photos I used a Pentax MZ-50 Analogue camera, with limited experience I shot with Ilford FP5. The film limited my choices in editing. However, I love the results using Analogue, the photos are of higher quality with my model looking more defined. The film grain has increased the sharpness of the photos which has worked well.
Phototshoot 1 POST editing
Using photoshop I was able to colorise my photos. Using the Neural filters along with the Curve adjustment tool, I was able to replicate the photos in colour. However, the editing was unable to alter some parts so I doubt I will use all of these photos in my final collection.
